 The secret to our RoboMosaic is our TileCreatorPro software, which enables you to create random tile patterns and murals at the click of a mouse. With TileCreatorPro, you can select your tile; preview your design; print a comp for your customer; and once your customer agrees on the design, start production of the tile.
At this point, you have two options. The first is to measure out the quantities of tile used and start placing them by hand in a Tile Grid. This method is very labor intensive and can add 70% or more to the cost of custom mosaic tile production. The best employee we ever had could do a four-tile color random pattern in 6 minutes and the average was 10 minutes. At this rate, your best output speed is 10 sheets an hour (and a sheet is 1.15 square feet).
The second option is to call your supplier in China and have them ship you the custom tile sheets in 6-8 weeks. In today's "need it now" economy, this has become less of a viable option.
